About us

A team that measures carbon and leaves an evidence trail

greenMRV turns operational data into numbers recognized under international standards. We handle product carbon footprints, carbon removal projects, and Catena-X data exchange within a single measurement system.

Mission (draft)

To turn operational data into numbers recognized under international standards, so Korean products and carbon removal assets are properly valued

Producing a number is one thing; getting it accepted is another. Clients, verifiers, and credit buyers want to know not just the number, but where it came from and which standard it followed.

That is why greenMRV records the sources, assumptions, and applicable standards behind every number it produces. Independent bodies decide on certifications and ratings; we prepare the evidence those decisions require.

What we do

Product carbon footprints, carbon removal projects,
and supply chain data exchange

All three run on the same measurement, calculation and evidence engine, and every deliverable follows the same principles.

01 · Product carbon footprints

LCA & EPD Automation

Upload your bill of materials (BOM) along with your electricity and gas bills. Our AI asks, in Korean, for the information it needs, and the engine calculates in line with the applicable standards. Deliverables range from life cycle assessment (LCA) results to draft application documents for Korea’s EPD program (operated by KEITI).

02 · Carbon removal

CDR Origination

We identify carbon removal assets that are still untapped in Korea, such as biochar, enhanced rock weathering (ERW), and biogenic CO₂. We develop them into projects and work with you through registration and issuance on a registry. Verification is performed by an independent validation and verification body (VVB), and ratings are assigned by ratings agencies.

03 · Supply chain data exchange

Catena-X & PCF

When automakers request part-level product carbon footprints (PCFs), we help parts suppliers exchange them through the Catena-X data space. We support onboarding, PCF calculation, EDC connector setup, and preparation for verification.

  2. Measurement, calculation and evidence engineLCI data linking and allocation, uncertainty and sensitivity analysis, and an evidence trail (audit trail)
  3. DeliverablesLCA reports and draft EPD applications, registration and verification documents for carbon removal projects, and PCF data exchanged via Catena-X

Principles

Six principles for handling numbers

We apply the same principles to our clients’ numbers and our own. Where details are still open, we will publish them on this page as soon as they are settled.

Every number has an as-of date and a source

For every figure, we disclose when and where it came from.

We only claim what we have measured

We don’t cite performance figures such as savings rates or speed until a pilot has confirmed them.

Independent bodies decide on certifications and ratings

We are not a certification body, a validation and verification body (VVB), or a ratings agency. We prepare the evidence those decisions require.

We disclose how we make money

We publish the fee and revenue-sharing structure of our carbon removal business and our principles for managing conflicts of interest.

Details pendingTo be published here once the structure is finalized

Client data belongs to the client

We don’t use it beyond the scope of the contract.

Details pendingOur principle on whether client data is used for AI training will be published once our product policy is finalized

We disclose our own footprint first

As a measurement company, we calculate and publish our own emissions under the same principles. Until the first results are in, we publish our plan and progress.

What we don’t do

We keep producing numbers separate from approving them, and we don’t claim anything we haven’t confirmed.

  • Guaranteeing certifications or ratings
  • Presenting product carbon footprints net of carbon credits
  • Treating CO₂ from coal co-firing facilities as carbon removal
  • Treating fermentation CO₂ as carbon removal when it is sold or used
  • Publishing unconfirmed client case studies, logos, or figures

Team

The people accountable for the numbers

Our team page will show only what each person has reviewed and agreed to publish: real names, job titles, and credentials with a verifiable issuer and year, without embellishment. The page will go live once team members have consented to publication.

Our carbon footprint

As a measurement company,
we disclose our own emissions first

We will publish our first results here as soon as the calculation is complete. Until then, we set out our plan and progress: what we will measure, against which standards, and how we will have it checked.

Organizational emissionsScope 1 and 2 emissions, plus key Scope 3 categories: cloud use, business travel, purchases of digital MRV (dMRV) equipment, and commuting. The base year will be set and published together with the calculation boundary. Not yet calculated
Calculation standardApplicable standards, such as the GHG Protocol Corporate Standard, to be confirmed and published alongside the resultsPublished once confirmed

CreditsIf we buy credits, we will report them separately rather than deduct them from our emissions, and we will not call ourselves a “carbon-neutral company.” From September 27, 2026, the EU ECGT Directive (Empowering Consumers for the Green Transition) prohibits “carbon neutral” claims that rely on offsetting.[1]Principle
