01Cookies and browser storage

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. They are used, for example, to keep you logged in or to compile visitor statistics. Browser storage (such as localStorage) can retain information in a similar way, so this page covers it as well.

Under the Personal Information Protection Act, anyone who installs and operates such automatic collection devices must describe them, and how to refuse them, in their privacy policy.[1] The relevant provision is Article 11 of our Privacy Policy.

02What this site currently stores

When we checked the home page, the Insights list, articles, and legal pages on October 11, 2026, this site stored no cookies and left nothing in browser storage (localStorage, sessionStorage, or IndexedDB).

There is one exception. If you press [Save settings] under Change cookie settings below, your choices are stored in this browser. They are not sent to our servers, and you can delete them with [Clear saved choices] or by deleting site data in your browser.

Files loaded from external servers

Font and visual-effect files are loaded from external servers. Because your browser connects to those servers directly, your IP address and browser information are passed to them. In our checks, no cookies were stored as a result of these requests.

03Cookies by category

We manage cookies and browser storage in four categories. If we introduce anything new, we will first add the tool name, provider, purpose, retention period, and country of storage to this table.

04Change cookie settings

Choose whether to allow each category, then press [Save settings]. Because we do not currently use analytics, functional, or advertising cookies, saving makes no immediate difference. Any category you switch off will not be used in this browser, even if we introduce such cookies later.

05If we introduce analytics or advertising tools

Because there are currently no cookies to tell you about, we do not display a cookie banner. If we introduce tools that use analytics or advertising cookies, we will make the following changes.

1. We will add the tool name, provider, purpose, retention period, and country of storage to the category table above and record the change in the change history below.
2. First-time visitors will see a cookie banner at the bottom of the screen. The banner will work differently depending on the region, as shown in the table below.
3. Whether analytics and advertising tools run will depend on these settings. Where consent is required, they will not run until you consent.
4. We will also amend the provisions of our Privacy Policy on automatic collection devices (Article 11) and behavioral information (Article 12).

06How to block or delete cookies in your browser

In your browser settings, you can block cookies or delete stored cookies and site data. If you block cookies, some features that require them may not work properly. For browser-specific instructions, see each provider’s help pages (links checked October 11, 2026).
